Jesse Pollak On Base

Jesse Pollak, protocol lead at Coinbase commented on Base stating it provides a more scalable environment for dapps which allows for payments using crypto apps, launching DAOs or interacting with cryptocurrency projects such as exchanges.

Transaction Per Second

CryptoRank reported that Base currently stands in 4th position in terms of daily transactions behind zkSync Era, Arbitrum and Optimism. This shows robust growth in active users and transactions since its launch earlier this month.

As shown by Coinbases success with their newest project, Base; layer- 2 networks offer many advantages when it comes to scalability compared to primary blockchains like Ethereum. With further improvements expected in the near future, it will be interesting to see how else these type of networks can revolutionize crypto transactions within the space!
