Vitalik Buterin to Speak at First Conference Since Feb: EDCON 2023
• Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and eight other members of the Ethereum Foundation (EF) will attend EDCON 2023, a conference in Podgorica, Montenegro.
• The event will take place from May 19 to May 23 and focus on topics such as crypto and blockchain regulation, layer 3 (L3) solutions, decentralized governance and societies.
• Apart from Vitalik Buterin, several EF members are also slated to speak at the Podgorica event including Vlad Zamfir, Tim Beiko, Skylar Weaver, Barry Whitehat and more.

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and eight other members of the Ethereum Foundation (EF) have confirmed their attendance at the Ethereum Conference EDCON 2023, to be held in Podgorica, Montenegro. It will be the first time Buterin is seen in public since Feb. 12 when he gave a keynote speech at ETHDenver in Denver. He discussed the progress and challenges of Ethereum 2.0 which aims to make Ethereum more scalable, secure and sustainable.

Do Kwon’s Arrest
Buterin’s visit to Podgorica comes nearly two months after Montenegrin law enforcement authorities apprehended another big name in the crypto space in same city Terra co-founder Do Kwon was arrested in Montenegro while attending an event hosted by local exchange CryptoMonteNero back in March 2021 . He was later released from custody after paying US$50 000 bail however his current whereabouts remain unknown as no information has been provided by either himself or EF since his arrest .
